⼩時候逛唱片⾏，總會低下頭搜尋字⺟，往下翻找那張讓人魂牽夢縈的唱片。在憂鬱憤怒無處宣洩的青春年少，Nirvana 像是神一般的救贖，一字一句抓著你混亂不堪的腦袋往牆上撞 ; Morning Glory敲響還在現實與夢想間晃蕩的半熟身體，我們只是還需要一點時間清醒，在每個被惡夢侵擾的清晨哼著Oasis。每位⾳樂⼈如同那些字⺟的神奇代號，刻進⼼底⼀段不可取代的位置。「Can’t Live without Music — Chicaca What What 個展」從3面向切入主題，60幅全新插畫作品喚醒你對音樂的渴望。

「Chicaca唱片室」依A – Z字母排序展出25件音樂人肖像畫以及16幅音樂電影相關手繪原稿 ;「私選音樂所」中除了李宗盛、黃小楨、伍佰、鳳飛飛等具代表性之音樂人肖像畫及唱片封面，也邀請唱片行老闆帶來精選黑膠、卡帶，重現復古情調。

♬關於 Chicaca What What
擅長人物肖像的插畫家 Chicaca What What，熱愛 60 – 80 年代復古玩具、電影、⾳樂，曾舉辦插畫展覽「Chicaca What What」，展出近60幅手繪作品，擅長以簡單而細緻的線條展現人物神韻，幽默風趣的社群互動模式深受年輕人喜愛。

When we were young, we used to go to the record stores, digging deeply in piles of records that were placed in alphabetical order, just to find the record that always lingers on our mind.
Drowning in adolescence with melancholy and anger, the existence of Nirvana was like redemption, while Oasis would always bring tranquil whenever we were awakened by nightmares in early mornings. Every single musician owns an irreplaceable place at the bottom of our heart.
This July, 濕地｜venue invites the illustrator Chicaca What What to plan this exhibition with us. 60 brand new illustrations are here to rouse your desire for music. You definitively do not want to miss it.
In “Chicaca Record Room”, 25 portraits of musicians are displayed in alphabetical order along with 16 hand-drawn manuscripts of films about music.
“Private Music Place” presents portraits and album covers of representative musicians in Taiwan like Lee Tsung Sheng, Ze’ Hwang, Wu Bai, Fong Fei-Fei, with a combination of selected vinyl and cassettes, to reminiscence retro vibes.
For three consecutive weekends from July 6th, three different “Limited Music Food Stands” will be with us at 濕地｜venue!. Curious at how Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and David Bowie’s favorite food taste? Come have a bite!

♬About The Artist
Chicaca What What is an illustrator good at drawing at portraits. He brings out the charms of each characters with lines and touches that are simple but delicate. Having enthusiam for vintage toys, film, and music from the 60s to 90s, he had held an exhibition “Chicaca What What”to show around 60 pieces of hand-drawn illustration for what he love.
